Eco-tourism Innovations for Rural Development

The consortium of 4 partners starts the international project Eco-Tourism Innovations for Rural Development, an Erasmus+ small-scale partnership project financed by the European Union and developed by Synthesis Srl, Italy in partnership with C.F. Elite Tutors Ltd (Cyprus), The Common Ones (Denmark), Institut National de Cercetare Dezvoltare in Turism (Romania).

The project focuses on the promotion of innovative eco-friendly practices, enhancing the knowledge and skills of tourism organizations regarding sustainable tourism practices and tourism business development, and raising awareness among tourists and local community members about the advantages of sustainable tourism.

To achieve its objective, we started with the Kick-off meeting on the 5th – 7th December 2023 in Cyprus.

The participants of the kickoff meeting discussed during the two-day activity topics of project management, goals, targets, objectives, implementation, dissemination, communication, sustainability, evaluation, and monitoring plans. They decided on the timeline and deadlines of future activities, mid-term evaluations, final evaluations, training activities, and the schedule of the project results.

During 12 months (October 2023 – October 2024) the partners will deliver tangible and intangible results.

The participants involved in project activities will belong to the following categories: rural tourism entrepreneurs, local councils, regional authorities, farmers, producers, rural communities’ population, tourist guides, and students.
